Mark and I planned for the boat to be picked up in Daytona Beach, Fl on Mon. 9/15/08. In the meantime a devastating hurricane (Ike) hit the Galveston/ Seabrook coast where The boat was to be delivered to Seabrook, Texas by Thurs. 9/18/08. The state of Texas closed highways to wide loads and Louisiana would not issue permits without a LA/TX border destination. Mark had to sit all day in Lafayette, La. but never complained. Due to emergency conditions immediately after the hurricane, the only route the Texas DOT would permit added over 800 miles to the original route. In spite of all obstacles Mark made delivery on Fri. 9/19/08. At he beginning of the trip Mark even paid my outstanding charges at the Marina where he picked-up the boat in Florida, trusting me to reimburse him. Mark took care of coordinating off-loading of the boat with the receiving Marina in Rockport, Texas since I was late arriving (I had to drive 210 miles to the receiving Marina). He shows dedication and a willingness to work through unforeseen obstacles. Mark is a pleasant person to deal with and I highly recommend MRE as a transportation company if you want professional services, personal attention, and good communication.
