I was medically retired from the Air Force in December of 2007. My Neurologist recommended I not be left alone with my wifes and I two young children at that time (I have Basilar Migrianes, they actually cause you to lose conscience). My wife is still Active Duty Air Force, and a shift worker on top of that. Due to my migraines I lost my drivers license and couldn't work (was even called a liability by some companies). Well, needless to say I was forced to stay home alone with the kids, and even blacked out in front of them.
My wife and I tried to get her orders to a base in AZ where we have family close by. The Air Force would not help us, so in the end my wife had to separate from the military. That left us with a Harley in the garage that we needed to ship down there, because neither of our cars could tow it. I remembered using uShip when I first bought my bike and came back to it.
I found the site incredibly easy to use (once again) and the amount saved from calling around was anywhere from 800-1500. Our uShip providers were incredibly professional and friendly. They were in contact the entire time and if I could use them everytime I needed something moved I would.
My overall experience with uShip was fantastic. The site is easy to use (even the most novice of user can do it). One of the more unique parts about this is that they had to drop off the Harley at my parents house who have no experience with bikes. They took it off the trailer, and parked it in the garage for them exactly where they wanted it.
I can not tell you how happy I am with uShip, and not only would I recommend them, but I am going to use them to move my Blazer to AZ in the near future. People no longer have to take a huge hit in the pocketbook by selling a car way under value when they move, they can now use uShip and take it with them!
