I recently spotted the very entertainment center I'd wanted for 3 months that had been discontinued as soon as I saw it and went to purchase it on sale at ebay. For $1,000 LESS! The description was like new, how could I pass that up even though it plainly stated pick-up only. Thinks I-- There's a million ways to get it across the more than 700 miles that separate us. In reality-- I burned up the yellow pages, every courier, shipper, freight company, and mover. Then I moved to the Internet, surely something. NOTHING! Everyone either had a min. weight or wanted it in a box. (it's assembled, seller has relinquished responsibility and I can't box it, I don't live there!) I started asking everyone I knew and some strangers if they knew anyone. And this was all after I'd won it. I'd have to pay 3 times or more what I paid for it. My cheapest alternative was flying there and renting a truck to bring it back. Not good for me. At these rates I was ready to lose the money paid and get a new one. Then uship.com was mentioned as something to try and desperately I did. It seemed too good to be true to pick your own price but it worked, although some adjustments had to be made because of the circumstances, I got a good price, I am still thrilled with the service. It was fun looking up service providers and other shipments too. I've sworn off impulse buys like that, but if I absolutely can't help myself I won't spend another frustrated week on the phone. I'll just come to uship. Thanks
