"Excellent job of shipping my 30' Sea Ray"
shipping from Saint Paul, Minnesota Everett, Washington for $6,303.33
I had to ship my 30' 1979 Sedan Bridge Sea Ray from Minneapolis to Seattle area because I relocated here for a new job.
I like the way uship works because it holds the shipper to a price. I spoke to other shipper directly that told me it MIGHT be extra for things like loading/unloading time, and that I MIGHT need a "pole car" in some some states. I didn't want all the "MIGHTS".
In shipping a boat the loaded up height is important. If you need to take the fly bridge off it's going to cost you probably about 500-1000 more on each end. So you want to make sure that the truck used is a low-rider truck which will give you the best change of keeping the bridge on. In my case the trucking company KNEW my boat would load up OK without removing the fly bridge. He also knew the route it needed to travel and was familiar with the destination.
You also want to make sure the trucking company has "cargo insurance", enough to cover the value of you boat and make sure it's included in the quotation.
On uship you can interview that various trucking companys via the uship website to see that they have the right equipment and knowledge to do the job and to see that they are properly insured, this is a great feature.
I would definately use uship again.
