So I wanted to buy my dream boat. Found the perfect price, perfect seller but my problem was the boat was 3 states away. A perfect price can be destroyed in a matter of seconds when you start receiving quotes to ship a 26' Cabin Cruiser this far. I did a google search and found USHIP.com. I had called around to other transport companies and even 2 local people. The lowest quote I received was $1800 and the highest of $2200.00. I was about to cancel everything. So I posted my ad and information here. I started looking at the estimator that Uship has setup and it stated anywhere from $650.00 to $900.00. I figured this was an error and I would be looking at $1500.00 or less since it didn't have a trailer. Well in a matter of 12 hours after posting my ad, IJS Boat Tranport from FL sent me a bid of $750.00. I about fell out of my chair. Is this for real ? This cannot be true ? Somethings wrong!! IJS was new to Uship just like me but I knew I had to act fast to get my boat in transist. I matched the bid and started the process. The process was so so easy. I sent the deposit through paypal and was given IJS's information in a matter of seconds. Steve Mills, owner of IJS sent me his insurance information and explained how everything would happened and how his company works. We planned for June 18th, 2008 at noon. I called the day before just to confirm and Steve was alreay en-route!!! Well the 18th came around and it was 11am. Steve calls and is already at the boat dock ready to load up. HE arranges everything with the dock master, loading ramp location, and sets his trailer up. He loaded the boat with his partner (Shawn) I think, and even shawn got completely soaked from jumping in the water in a matter of seconds to make sure to boat went smooth and completely straight on the trailer. Steve got in his truck and pulled the boat right out without a hitch!!! I had to go into town to sign the paperwork and then got on the highway.
What an awesome Experience !! Thank you
