My mother passed away in 2005 unexpectedly. At the time, she lived in RI and I lived in NC. She had a glass lined hutch that was really too large for my husband and I to move to NC ourselves and it took two, almost three, years to get it moved. I stumbled onto uship while looking online at other shipping companies and checking prices. After several bids and (being very picky about who I would let take such an heirloom for such a long haul) I received a bid from David Diamond. He was professional, communicated well, and helped me navigate the uship process as a first time user. What I did not realize until he got here was that one glass panel had apparently broken while being wrapped for shipping and he went so far as to have another identical glass panel cut to replace the broken piece. He also helped my husband reassemble my hutch in my own kitchen which is service neither my husband nor I expected but greatly appreciated. David also took the time to safely pack up a mirrored shadow box and unwrapped it himself when he got here. Along with this was four boxes of bells my mother had been collecting since I was a child, many of which I had bought her over the years and remembered well their stories when added to her collection. After unpacking all four boxes, I found only one bell broken (easily fixable) and was pleasantly surprised as I had expected many more to be broken after being packed and hauled so far in an 18 wheeler (not the smoothest ride if you have ever been in one). Yesterday, David Diamond was responsible for bringing me all of my family heirlooms that I will treasure forever. My family has so few things left that yesterday's delivery elicited quite a bit of emotion and I have to thank uship and David Diamond for allowing me to relive many happy memories that I thought had been forgotten. Thank you.
