I was a bit skeptical because I had a bad experience with a mover I contacted on my own, who basically blew me off and didn't show up when he promised and he would not answer my calls. I was desperate to get the furniture moved as soon as possible. I didn't know where to turn.
I looked on the Internet and found Uship. I felt confident because of the feedback from other customers. Plus the service providers have profiles and photos. I felt secure that Uship protected my identity until I made a choice. I would have been stuck without uShip, and I'm thrilled with their service.
That said, I found the Uship site hard to navigate. I was trying to communicate with my choice, and I was afraid that someone else would contract him while I was trying to figure out the site.
I don't quite understand the deposit system, which I really think is a Uship fee and the service provider doesn't really get it, as is implied.
Well, uShip provides an important service and they should get paid too. The service provider bears the cost of uShip, if there is one. This isn't free all around like Craigslist, I suspect, BUT it's MORE RELIABLE than Craigslist for things like this.
I would definitely use Uship again and have already recommended it to friends.
