I had contracted with a private party to move my 28 foot Sea Ray from Naples to Boston. The guy picked up the boat on a Thursday, he was to have picked it up on Monday, and called me Thursday night at 9:30pm telling me he was not going to be able to make it because he underestimated the distance and did not want to do it. He was going to be leaving the boat in Orlando and I could make arrangements from there. I convinced him to bring the boat back to Delray, and leave it at my brothers home. I then tried uShip and placed an ad, got many bids and decided on one of them. They in turn sub contracted out one of their drivers, Philip Voyer with Voyerger Marine Transport and he called me within hours of me accepting the bid. I explained the situation and he put my mind at ease right way. He asked me to have my brother take the boat to his friends marina in Fort Lauderdale where he would pick it up on Friday afternoon. He was already in Florida and was going to be going back to Boston, where he lives so this worked out perfect for him and me. My brother left the boat exactly where Philip said and I received a call on Friday early afternoon from Philip telling me that he had just finished loading the boat on his trailer and was on the way with an estimated arrival of Tuesday afternoon. I received all of the appropriate insurance paperwork and the bill of lading as promised, just before he actually picked the boat up and was expecting to receive a call on Tuesday mid day to schedule the time of arrival. On Sunday morning I received a call asking me if I was receptive to having the boat delivered that afternoon, 3 days early. I was and around 4pm on Sunday I saw my boat, for the first time since I had just purchased it, all loaded and in excellent shape. Philip unloaded the boat doing all the work and thanked me. I told him that I should be thanking him. I saved more than $3000 and more important, piece of mind. I will definitely use uShip again in the future!
