I chose Bright Eyes because I was on a tight budget, but still wanted to have a good quality hauler. They accepted my budget and proceeded to pickup my mare. The driver, Reese, was very careful, professional, and considerate of my mare's needs as well as her emotional state. He was FABULOUS! He picked her up on the day that he said he would, delivered her to our acreage on the day he said he would. She arrived calm and in a very good emotional state - not stressed at all.
This si the 3rd horse I've shipped. The other two experiences almost killed the geldings I shipped. One gelding was shipped from Iowa to California - never taken off the trailer and not fed or watered adequately. The other gelding was coming back to Iowa from Nevada. The hauler picked him up on the specified day but then drove clear to the east coast before coming to Iowa. That particular trip was to have been a 2 day trip from Nevada to Iowa. When I tried to reach them on the 2nd day by cell phone. The cell phone was not answered - all you got was voice mail. I was ready to call the sherriff's department and report the horse stolen. The drivers did not follow through on their statements nor were they available at all times by cell phone.
It was MUCH DIFFERENT WITH THIS COMPANY!! Our driver's name was Reese. He is a great guy. He kept me informed of the pickup, the tentative arrival time and then called when he was about 4-5 miles away to let us know he was almost there.
I greatly appreciate the communication as well as the manner in which they treated this mare. When I have to ship horses again, It will be with this company. They know what they are doing!! If anyone is thinking of having their horses shipped. Don't be swayed by all the fancy equipment. Make sure you hire this company that truly knows how to take care of your precious cargo.
