My husband is Active Duty Navy. When his grandfather, whom he was very close to passed away, he couldn't go home because of a deployment. My husband was devastated. He had spent his summers as a child at his grandparents lake house where his grandfather had a ski boat.He loved and admired his grandfather. This boat is how they spent time together. As years passed my husband and I got married and spent summers on this ski boat with our own children. Sadly, grandfather passed away, the lake house was sold and My husband was given the ski boat.It is over 28 years old and has more sentimental value than monetary. Again, being Active Duty was a problem. The boat was over 1,000 miles away and my husband didn't have the time to drive up and pick it up. We did a search for boat shipping and found uship. My husband did not want to have anyone but him getting the boat. He was worried something would happen to it. I talked him into it b/c again he would be deploying and we needed family time before he left instead of him trying to pick up a boat. He agreed and we found Rob and Liz. We had lots of bids, many affordable ones. Rob and Liz were one of the cheapest but didn't have a long history yet on uship. I asked a ton of questions and we chose them by how they presented themselves. You could just tell they were good people. We accepted their bid and Rob was on his way within a week. We had to buy a trailer sight unseen where the boat was. It was taken to a shop and looked over. Our family checked it out too, but apparently it wasn't as good as it was thought to be. The axial broke why Rob was in transit. He handled everything professionally. He took pictures, got a tow truck, and kept us informed. Rob did some other shipments while the trailer was being worked on and then returned to pick it up and finish his shipment to us. Rob was great and he and Liz are really great people. Now my husband has his grandfathers boat and I have a very, happy husband. We would use uship again.
