I got laid off from my engineer job in Connecticut so I went to Florida to visit with my parents for awhile to escape the cold and spend some quality time. I've been looking for a nice custom Honda VTX 1800 for 5 months. One day while doing my daily check on Ebay, I found it and it was only 3 miles away. I went to check out the bike and fell in love. This guy had it on Ebay starting at $8K with no reserve! I didn't know how I was going to talk my wife back home into this. When I convinced her that it was one of those deals of a lifetime, she agreed. I ended up getting the bike for the $8K. Not bad considering the original owner put $28K into it! Now how to get it home. I remember reading on the VTXOA forum about a guy saying he used uShip and how people bid on your shipment. Being a fan of Ebay and this being the same principle, I listed the bike on uShip. In no time the bids came rolling in, all different prices from different companies. Being unemployed and low on funds from buying the bike, I went with one of the low bids from RussellTransportation. The pickup and delivery schedule was just right also. After it was picked up, Marco was so impressed that he kept offering to buy it. The closer he got to my home, the higher the offers got. Sorry Marco, this is MY deal of a lifetime! uShip is the only way to go. Who would have thought that I would have competing bidders to ship my bike home? How can you beat that? If it weren't for uShip, I'd be breaking out the yellow pages and settling for what ever price I got to get my bike home! Thanks so much to uShip and RussellTransportation for making one of my dreams come true!
