I am disabled and trying to ship a little dog from Texas to Colorado did not seem like it would take a three months to complete. I can't really navigate an air port as I am on oxygen and don't use a wheelchair, I just can't walk too far and airports are unforgiving unless you are actually flying. I know from previous experience that whoever picks up an animal from the airport is viewed as the "savior" by the animal and undying love and gratitude are given to the savior by the little dog or parrot. (Trust the voice of experience here)
So I bought this little Chihuahua adult girl, named Holly and expected to have her here by Thanksgiving. I went into the hospital for 10 days, delivery delayed.
Christmas, friends were going to Houston to visit relatives they would pick her up and bring her on home. They took a long route through New Mexico, got in two accidents on the way during a tremendous snow storm, in the first one they lost their cell phone in the snow. They kept going and then got into a roll over which put one of them into the hospital. They spent Christmas in New Mexico. They forgot to call me and let me know.... I and the breeder waited patiently.
We had at least four shippers tentively schedule pickups and each and every time a major storm would come swooshing through and cancel any thoughts of being able to get her here from Texas.
Finally a nice young man called and said he was flying down to Austin and back and could easily get my little doggie home to me at my target price. After waiting so long I did not expect it to happen. Imagine my surprise when they called and said they were about an hour from me.
A nicer bunch of folks I could not have found. They liked Holly and took such excellent care of her there was no "savior" mentality so I have to work extra hard on getting her devotion, lol. But it is all worth it.
I love USHIP and will use them forever. Both for private and now for my eBay business too.
THANKS USHIP-YOU'RE THE BEST!!
