I was moving just across town. I needed a new bed but money was tight. I didn't really feel comfortable buying a used bed from a stranger, but a good friend of mine, who now lived a couple states away, was looking to sell an extra bed from his guest room.
I would have thought it would have been cost-prohibitive to ship a bed that far. I looked into a combo of ride-shares and van rentals to see if I could pull the trip off myself. But in the end, the expenses would have offset the savings of buying the bed used.
That's when my friend told me about a site he had heard about called uShip. I didn't see how it could be feasible, but I'm realizing that uShip is now opening up a whole middle-market for shipping that wasn't there before. As a result, what was not possible or affordable now is.
uShip allowed me to find a shipper with a very reasonable price while also knowing I could trust them. I plan to use uShip again and I am recommending it to others.
