We shipped a 1949 Ford 8N tractor from Willamsburg Ohio to Englewood Florida. We had recently moved to Florida from Ohio, but did not have enough room in our trailer to take the tractor. We were waiting to come back to Ohio to get the tractor at my sister's farm. Then a problem started - the cost of diesel fuel was rising everyday. We thought maybe there were some truckers that could bring the tractor to Florida cheaper than us driving up and back. We checked U-Ship and asked for a bid.
The shipper was great. He picked up the tractor early because there was a snow storm coming and kept it at his place for a week or so until he was ready to leave for Florida. At the pick up point, which was my sister's farm, my 86-year old mother was the only one there. He brought extra help and was very courteous to my mother. A friend of mine arrived a little later and also helped load the tractor.
On the delivery date, he called me from 10 miles away and told me when he would be here. He pulled up in front of my house in Florida and unloaded the tractor. Everything was in perfect condition. He was very courteous and helpful.
He had almost the best price, but had the best recommendations.
Bottom line - I was very happy with the service provided and would recommend him to my friends.
