I just shipped a 16' sailboat on its own trailer that I bought through eBay. As would be the case on a good deal on eBay, the boat was on the opposite side of the country from me and the trailer was not a known quantity in regards to condition. I posted my request on UShip and had 8 - 9 bids within 18 hours and at very aggressive prices! I accepted a bid from a shipper that had a number of cancellations in the past month or two, but had a great price. Unfortunately I was added to the list of cancellations due to his northbound haul falling through. I was able to cancel, get a refund on my deposit and have my listing back on UShip within an hour. 8 hours later I had a number of new bids (all equal to or better than my prior quotes) and accepted one from Steven Junker (quervo). 2 days later he picked up my boat and now 2 days after that I am looking at my daughter's Christmas present in the driveway (2 days before 25th). Steve communicated several times a day with me before and during the shipment and took steps to ensure a safe shipment. He inspected the trailer and even repacked the bearing mid-trip to be safe. Steve and UShip really came through for me!
Thanks and Merry Christmas to all!!
