I'm a single guy, and my knee surgery right before moving ended up way more complicated than it was supposed to be. This resulted in my being on crutches for weeks surrounding this move. What a nightmare. As an athlete, I hate being idle, and as a single person moving myself across country, I hated having people do to much for me; but I had little choice.
I was happy to find uShip, as moving companies were all over the place pricewise and weren't always trustworthy. Being able to see the tons of feedback on shipping company really put me at ease. I got good offers, then I figured out I could request bids. I requested Touring Logistics based on their profile and feedback and common routes. Gary came through with a solid bid, and I was happy to not have to deal with a huge percentage of my stuff.
Gary and his men met me a couple days before my own drive from AZ to VA, and his guys dealt with an unusually busy day and lot at my storage facility. He was scheduled to arrive in VA before me, which wasn't ideal, but I told him of my timetable and said if he gets held up or can deliver after one week, fine by me. They arrived a few days after I got there. Talk about great timing for me, as I didn't want my roommate dealing with it in my absence. I was tired of having other people deal with my stuff.
Gary and co. carried all my stuff inside my townhouse and put it where I asked them to. I bet I could''ve asked for more, but I got what I needed and I didn't have to deal with moving my stuff with a 6-week-post-operation knee. Thanks uShip. I am recommending your service to all my friends, especially those active on auction sites.
