I bought a 40 foot boat 9'4" beam on it's own trailer off Ebay it was located in Minnesota and I live in Southern California I origanlly planed on picking it up myself not knowing about the oversize permits through each state mapquest put the trip at 1970 miles each way so with gas time off work food and lodging I was out a big chunk of money and that's if nothing broke or froze I found uShip and initial bids were ranging from $4000 to $5000 after a few days I got some more bids and finally the bid from ddonaldson marine transport at $2500 They weren't the lowest but I read their shippers comments and most if not all of their shipments were larger boats some of the other providers had good reviews but none on large boats After choosing them Debbie called me the next day and we talked about time line, boat location, trailer condition we talked several times over the next couple of weeks and she kept informed as to when the boat would picked up then we chatted about family and what was cooking for Thanksgiving When Brian picked up the boat he called me right away told me he was on the way and that the trailer was pulling ok. The next day he called me from New Mexico and the following day he called me when he was 100 miles away so I could meet him. The driveway to my storage spot was an extremely tight turn and he had to try a couple of different approches he didn't grumble cry or complain he just turned the boat around and tried again and again awesome I see a lot of people give up but this guy got it done great job these folks have pleanty of experiance and were extremely freindly and informative throughout the whole prosses I would definetly use Marine Transport and uShip again and will tell any one else needing to ship of this option don't drive your truck into a ditch call uShip and talk to Debbie at Marine Transport Sincerly George Cleveland
