When my mom passed away one and half years ago, she left me her hutch crafted by the Amish. I had to figure out how I was going to transport it from Maryland to Texas and fast before my sister-in-law tried to get her hands on it. My sister kindly let me store it in her basement until I could figure out how I was going to get it shipped along with a dining set that I had lent my mom. I had researched the cost of renting a truck and trailer to hitch on the back of our van. All very costly! We would also have had to incur the cost of installing a trailer hitch and the wear and tear on our vehicle. I Googled "shipping furniture" and found "USHIP" and was a little hesitant. I also didn't have access to a photograph of the items I was shipping at the time so I didn't do anything about it. That was over a year ago. But I was in Maryland this a week and a half ago and knew I needed to do something about getting that hutch and table and chairs out of my sister's basement. So again, we called around. Cost for trailers were about $475 and cost to ship were more than double the trailer cost. So I thought about trying Uship again. I signed up, took a few photos and within an hour I had a bid that was within my range, less than what it would cost for me to rent a trailer ($450) and I would have my shipment the following weekend. What could be better? No wear and tear on my vehicle, no dragging a trailer behind, no extra weight costing me more gas etc. It was certainly worth the wait! I wish I would have done it sooner! My dining room looks beautiful with my mom's hutch and I will be filling it with her china tomorrow. It'll be such a nice reminder of her everyday now. I have already told so many people about our experience with Uship and have recommended them to others. Thanks Uship and Thanks Todd or Bigfoot22! You were fantastic!
