I found a beautiful horse on the BLM Internet adoption website, but I have a new job and an old truck & trailer and could not take the time off to go pick her up. I figured with my time, the price of gas, the possibilities of breaking down with a wild horse on board, hundred of miles away from home, it was very inexpensive to hire someone to deliver my horse. So someone on one of my favorite horse related boards told me to try U-Ship, it was very easy to use U-Ship and all of the steps were plainly marked as to what to do and what next. I put out what I needed to be moved and where to, and waited. I received responses right away from people interested in moving my horse and I decided on who and how much. The horse had to be rescheduled a few times because all of her shots and paperwork was not ready when they said she was. Larry from Fund Transport was wonderful about rescheduling until the BLM got the ok to release the mare. He knew how I felt about having to wait for her to arrive, she is pregnant and I was worried about her having the foal before or on the trip, he was very careful with her and rested her every few hundred miles. She rode great in his trailer and arrrived in very good condition. He called me on his rest stops and told me how she was doing, knowing I was worring, and wanted to be there. It was well worth the few dollars to have someone knowledgeable move my horse and not have to miss work or have my old truck suck up gas and possibly break down. This was a very good experience and I would recommend U-Ship and Larry Fund Transport to anyone who ever wanted to move something.
