For the past 11 years, my son's first john-boat has been sitting in FL at a friend's farm. It had to be left behind when we moved.
Our family went through a series of medical issues including my son almost losing his leg in a work-related accident.
Through all this, we would always remember the 'little john boat' and the good memories.
I knew from my friend that somehow that little boat managed to survive multiple storms and yes, even the infamous hurricane in the Orlando area which had destroyed my friend's barn and house.
The old trailer managed to make it through, though not quite as well. After so many years of sitting, I was told it had a tree growing through the rear assembly.
Well, my son was turning 30 this year and I wanted to do something special for him. I wanted to reunite him with his boat. The trailer too, if possible.
I posted my request and was contacted by TLC Relocation/ David. He met my price and his communication was immdeiate. He made me feel comfortable with his friendly manner and professional communication style. We were a Match.
David communicated with me throughout his journey letting me know where he was and his estimated times of arrival. It was almost as though I was making the trip with him to bring the john-boat home.
When David arrived at my home in CT he unloaded the boat with the help of my son's best friend. Then, with a good natured hearty chuckle, he pointed out that the trailer was fine..including the tree trunk!!(I didn't know that my friend had cut the tree but left the trunk entwined!)
Thanks to David old memories were finally brought home with a new one was added.
Thanks to uShip for helping me find TLC Relocation and David.
