We won a Bid on eBay, for this 21' Pontoon. Now, how do we get it here from Orlando, FL? Quoted shipping rates were very high, and after purchase, money was scarce. I got online & typed in Boat Shippers. I went to the first one, very confusing, gave my info & then it said someone would get in touch with me with in 48 hours. We didn't have 48 hours. I backed out of there, and I saw "uShip", and viewed out of curiosity, eBay-uShip. When I saw how easy it was to list & request bids, I thought this is great.
My husband was out of town at the time, and I told my him what I had done, and he wanted to see this new web page I had found. So I told him to use his laptop, and go to uShip.com and check it out, but don't list, because I already did. When he got home Friday, I had several bids, and we sat and went through the feedbacks of all.
The man we choose was $4.00 higher, and the highest bid, but his feedback was "Excellent". Our Transporter was rtbt TTransport. He was on time for picked-up, had to make a repair on the trailer plug, but he called when he was on his way. We expected him about noon the next day, but he delivered at 9:00am. Very nice man, clean & very professional.
Transporter told us that he was unable to buy a spare tire, on the road, he stopped 2x's. He looked at the tires after the 2nd stop, and they looked brand new - so he just chanced it. He told us the Trailer pulled excellent, and that he felt we would be okay in travels. That made me feel good, as we didn't know what we were getting, or what Transporter was Transporting.
We went into this whole deal blind. I had sent pictures to Transporter, and told him "If this is not what your picking-up, call me!" , once Transporter picked-up and was on the road, he called and said "Sure is a Nice Boat you's got!" We felt secure at that moment, and told him to have a safe trip.
We have been in need several times for out-of-state Transport, and I will definately use uShip again
