Since the home we rent in Northern CA is being sold, my daughter, grandson and I have to move. The new home we found will not allow a cat, so we had to find a home for our kitty named Pretty. We'd put up fliers but we not having any luck. The Humane Society had an opening but the idea of our 13 year old cat spending the rest of its life in a cage broke my heart. My brother, who lives in Southern CA, said that if I couldn't find another home, he would take Pretty. I looked into the airlines to send Pretty down south but found it quite expensive plus the cat would be in the luggage compartment with no human contact and lots of noise. I also heard that sometimes animals cannot withstand the stress of flying and end up dead or ill. I prayed for a solution and then plugged "pet transportation" into my search engine. That's where I found USHIP. I thought that I couldn't lose by trying so I put in my information. Within a day I received three bids. The first was pretty high, the second was better but the third was much more reasonable and came from people who love cats. The provider is called "weeship." After asking a few questions,I knew that this was right and accepted the bid. Soon after my acceptance, "weeship" called and we exchanged information. After our conversation, I felt really good about everything. Pretty was picked up at my house a little earlier in the evening than was anticipated but that was just fine. The driver who picked him (Pretty is a male cat) up was so gentle and caring, I knew he would get there safely and do well on this long trip. Pretty was safely delivered to my brother when he got home from work the next day. Truly, this was a prayer answered in the best possible way! It was such a good connection with responsible, caring prople and I know my kitty is in a loving and safe home. Thank you so much for everything!
