I won an ebay auction for a motorcycle that was almost new, the only problem was the bike was in the Chicago area, and I live in Houston, Texas. I was concerned about shipping the bike, having had some really negative experiences with shipping household goods overseas and while in the military, so I thought long and hard about just flying in to Chicago and riding it back to Texas. Weather concerns and work obligations precluded that, though, so I turned to uShip and hoped for the best. I had never used the service before, and I was amazed at how many offers I received and how reasonable the price quotes were.
I went with "Precision Transport," and I couldn't have been happier with their service. I was hoping to get the bike within a month, and instead, I had it in less than a week, from finalization of purchase, to riding it down my street!
Nathan, with Precision Transport, contacted me once he'd picked up the bike and commented on how nice the bike looked, which made me feel good, as you always have concerns when buying things based only on photographs and without a personal inspection. He kept me informed of his progress, and got to Texas two days earlier than I expected.
Because I wasn't expecting him, I didn't have my cell phone with me when I went out for the afternoon this past weekend, and missed four calls from Nathan, trying to let me know he was in town and ready to deliver my bike. When I got the messages at 7:00 that night, I called him back, to find he had given up and started heading home, and was now 50 miles further south. Without so much as a "can't deliver it now, I'll do it another day," he and his wife turned around and drove back to deliver the bike that night, without a word of complaint. The bike was in great shape and obviously had been secured well.
It was really an incredibly positive experience. I would recommend Nathan and Precision Transport to anyone in a similar situation. I am one very pleased customer!
