I had won an eBay auction for a very heavy-duty power wheelchair. I needed one to replace the not-so-heavy-duty one which had belonged to my father. I had managed to mangle it mercilessly along with all of the kitchen appliance surfaces, door bottoms and edges along with the door jambs. A less hardy house would have been knocked off of its foundation by now. In any case, it took a little while, but by banging into surfaces, I eventually sheared off the chair's left arm. The right one shortly suffered the same fate. The chair's joystick was literally supported by a jerry-rigged sling. Plus, all of the wires had come out of the tires and had wound themselves around the spokes of the wheels. To say the least, I needed a new chair!
I had done my homework on the eBay chair - or so I thought. I had looked at the specifications on the manufacturer's web site and I had downloaded the manual. I had asked the seller a question. I had already had one heavy-duty chair; so, I knew exactly what I was getting. Right?
I secured a shipper, but because this would have been his first uShip experience, he needed to iron out a few details before I would feel comfortable shipping my "treasure" with him. In his favor, he could not have been more contrite and helpful. My shipment was posted for bid again. To my rescue came Jerry of Jones and Son Auto Transport and Logistics! After making the winning bid, he called immediately to discuss with me the delivery. Frankly, I thought that it was all wishful thinking given the stormy weather forecast. But deliver my chair he did -- calmly, professionally, on time, and for a great price compared to most of the other bids -- in his big, clean, white, and shiny nothing-jerry-rigged-about-it Chevy 4x4.
With our two-piece portable ramp and with great finesse, Jones & Son completed the delivery of the BIGGEST wheelchair I've ever seen! Need a "tractor" or anything else delivered? uShip and Jones & Son are the way to go. Thanks, Jerry and uShip!
