I'm restoring a 1946 Chevy pickup and I bought a larger Chevy 261 cubic inch 6-cylinder engine and Borg Warner T-5 transmission from a nationally-recognized engine builder in Michigan to install in this truck. Having had a very positive experience using uShip on a previous shippment of a Chevy pickup from Nebraska, I again called upon the good folks at uShip to match me up with a shipper who could bring my engine and transmission to me in California. My preference was to select a private-party shipper with whom I could have good communications. I was pleased when I selected Gary Kalosky for this assignment. Gary was able to pick up the pallet containing the engine and transmission with no problems as his trailer has a full-height tailgate which doubles as a loading ramp. With his newly-acquired pallet jack, Gary was able to load the pallet in the Detroit area and easily unload it at my home in the Los Angeles area. Gary's price was right in line with other bidders, however, it was easy to see that my ability to communicate with Gary far exceeded that of the other bidders which made my choice an easy one. Since I originally hail from the state of Michigan, I also greatly enjoyed the time that Gary took during the delivery to bring me up to date on current Michigan events. I very much enjoy and appreciate the matching services offered by uShip and will continue to use these services as I enjoy my fat-fendered pickup restoration hobby in my current retirement. Thanks, uShip, and please keep up your fine work for the benefit of all of us car and truck enthusiasts. Best regards, Dennis Fuerst, Santa Clarita, California.
