This stuff is peculiar -- both to transport and to deliver. When you don't want it to behave as rubber, it does ... when you want it to, it doesn't. We prefer delivery using 2000 lb supersacks. Using duallys and low-boy ramped trailers, we're able to deliver DIRECT TO THE CLIENT'S SITE, not just to his "curbside" as most FTL's and LTL's. Gives us a significant competitive
edge. (Much of our rural trade have no "curbs".. only narrow country roads w/ hidden driveways.)
U-ship has consistently provided us with good drivers ... and especially those needing back- or front-hauls ... thus they can offer very competitive bids. This means we can stay even -- and ahead of the competition -- on price points.
U-ship has become as important a logistic tool to us as our Magic-Jack telephone. BUT ... the one thing U-Ship has yet to offer is multiple delivery options. Many of ours use a single (or even two) pickup sources and as many as three delivery drops. You need more contact destination dropdowns on your menu ... Not rocket-science!
