uSHIP was a life-saver, of over 30 lives in fact! Just four examples include Cassie, who is now surrounded with new toys and a new dog bed, Bruce, who loves playing with his new “mom” and toys, and two cats, Marshall (who is short a leg) and Bubbles, who love each other very much and never want to be separated. They all arrived, with a “shipment” of other distressed cats, from a make-shift, hot and swampy Louisiana shelter that, like all shelters, was bursting at the seams with unwanted animals. The BP oil geyser has added to the shelters’ burdens, with people losing money and leaving town minus those who thought they were family members and found out they were not. uSHIP was also a life-saver in that they footed the bill for the transport, made sure everyone was comfortable, provided a wonderful crew so that the cats, who, unlike the dogs, hate riding, could get swiftly, overnight, from LA to VA. The crew refused our soy sausage breakfast biscuits (hey!) and offer of a shower, and just kept going… Thank you, uSHIP and all you guys for being animals’ best friends, and PETA’s.
