I was moving the contents of my two bedroom, two bath appartment from Spokane, WA to Los Angeles, CA and had never worked with a mover before. I have heard how expensive tradition movers are and was very worried about the cost of my move since I had been laid off in November. My friend told me about uShip and how it saved her a lot of money on her move from Washington D.C. to Los Angeles. I found the interface very easy to use and and using this website saved me a LOT of time (I didn't have to call multiple companies and get quotes)! I ended up receiving around 8 bids for my move and selected Michael Considine of Mountain Transport. I found the communication guide from uShip to be especially useful in reminding me of all the information I should discuss with Michael before the move.
Michael did a great job working with me to coordinate when to pickup and drop off the shipment (I was flying back to Spokane and would only be there for 2 days to finalize my business there). I thought moving my items out of the appartment was going to take all day, but he did everything in only 2 hours, including helping me wrap some mirrors and other items that I wasn't sure how to keep safe (like my computers, flat screen tv, and artwork).
I'm sure I saved over $1,000 using uShip and Mountain Transport and will definately use both the next time I need to move. Thank you again!
