Bought a 2005 Rocket III on eBay. Normally would fly out and ride the bike home- have done this twice in the past with motorcycles located in Chicago and Pittsburg, and rode them home to Texas. Decided to ship this time as I only had 3 days of vacation left, and wanted at least 10 days total available for the trip, to piddle and take lots of side trips. So, shipping the bike to Texas, and saving my vacation days for long weekend jaunts made more sense this time. Loved the concept of shippers bidding for my business, and the option to decline bids based on price, or any other reason, and shippers being allowed to re-quote. Found a guy who needed to fill his load, and he gave me a great price, and dropped the bike off at my house. Some big companies charge extra for home delivery, as they want to palletize your bike, and use a forklift upon delivery. Paposteve has a 44' enclosed trailer, with multiple ramp doors on the back and sides, so he doesn't have to shuffle bikes around much. Check him out- he is a Christian and an honest guy. Cost for U-ship service was really great at $13- I definitely recommend U-ship, and would use again. So much easier than doing the research and talking on the phone constantly to get a fair price, and feedback is there so you can trust your shipper. U-Ship rocks!
