I have worked professionally in the horse world for over 14 years. The thought of leaving my 6 year old mare who had hardly been hauled in the hands of a "stranger" for a coast to coast trip was frightening. Thank the Lord I found Randy on U-ship! So many haulers give you cheap quotes, but when you start asking questions about the care your horse will receive, suddenly they stop contacting you. Randy knows that horses in transit shouldn't have food in front of them 24 hours a day, and he is very aware that by design, horses need to exercise. Throughout the 5 day journey, Randy kept me briefed on his location, and even told me where he was laying over. I was able to check out many stops online and rested easy knowing exactly where my mare was, how she was hauling, eating, drinking and yes, even pooping...which is important! Throughout the trip I was contacted two or three times per day. When I finally saw Randy's rig, I was impressed! My mare was riding in comfort in 1 1/2 stalls - which could have fit a draft horse comfortably. She had never been hauled more than an hour at a time before her trip. She walked off the trailer ramp and started grazing, completely content with life. We turned her out in a paddock to finish our paperwork and after a nice roll, my mare took a look around and then went to bucking and playing - and all this after a 2900 mile coast to coast trip. I can't praise Randy enough! I will be recommending him to anyone with valuable show animals to ship. Being newer to the Marine Corps, I am sure this is just one of many moves that Randy will be handling for us! Randy - thanks again! Nita is back to work and doing great! I'm excited to see her progress and it is SO wonderful to be back in the saddle and in the barn! Hopefully by the fall she'll be competing at her first shows. We'll keep you posted!
