We have a small company that makes beekeeping equipment that occassionaly ships a few pallets a year for special orders. The broker/carrier we had been using had been going up in price, adding on fuel tarifs and such. The last price was so much higher that we decided to look around. We found UShip on the internet and decided to give that a go. I was surprised at the list of bids we got. We picked the lowest. We were warned by another company that this could be a "Mom & Pop" trucking situation with no insurance. When I asked the winning bidder, APIshipping about that, they told us our bid was with UPS. Can't get any better than that. And we were not easy and simple. Our client on the east coast doesn't have a dock or forklift and wants to take delivery at the terminal of whatever shipping company we used to keep costs down. And we had to get their shipment within 25 miles of where they live. API did just that, found a UPS terminal close. Our clients told us they were notified and easily got the load. They have to unpack the pallet to repack their truck there and everyone was so helpful. Yes, we are happy happy with UShip and will use them again.
Oh yes, savings was about $300.00
