I had to ship a 7000 pound cell tower. We erected this tower in February after a tornado hit its predecesor and brought it crashing down. This site was a major communications link for Tennessee's Highway Patrol, so it was a critical temporary link. With the new permanant tower in place, all 300' of this structure was dismantled and needed to get from Memphis to Nashville. I tried contacting several trucking companies, but the rates ranged from $800-$1,150. U-Ship popped up while searching the web for more trucks. I honestly thought that using U-Ship would be slow and have little response, but I recieved several communications and two bids in the first day. I ended up going with the second lowest ($675) rather than the lowest($620) bid because of New Era Freight's positive feedback. This turned out to be a really cost saving and efficient transaction. It could not have gone much better. I will definitly use U-Ship again, if I can get a 3-1/2 Ton Item shipped, the smaller stuff should be a breeze!
