We were moving acrossed the country and had 3 Siberian Huskies that needed to be shipped. We thought it would be one less thing to worry about. It was a little more involved then we thought. I'm grateful we had family/friends on both ends to help us and the shipping guys we hired. Unforseen events can and do happen, ie; departure or arrival dates change, etc.
We moved from MI to coastal AL in June and our Huskies still had thick coats. Our shipping team stopped very frequently to water and walk our dogs. Which made the trip take much longer. But they did whatever was nessacary to keep our Huskies cool and comfortable. We really appreciated it. They earned every penny of their fee.
This does not mean that there were no problems. But they were not the fault of the shippers.Car toubles, not being able to sleep because you don't know where they are or when they'll arrive. They did comunicate, but the ETA changed alot because it was just difficult to gage because of all the stopping. I just feel fortunate that it wasn't me dealing with that on top of caravaning a moving truck and a pick-up that's to big for a towing dolly, a cat, and a 4 yr old. Can you imagine adding 3 dogs and their frequent stops?
But we made it. And we were here first to greet our dogs after the longest journy of their life.It was a very happy reunion! Thanks smallhaul!
