The recent death of my mother required the shipment of some of the belongings of her very modest one bedroom apartment.
I had a choice of driving from Irving, Texas to Fontana, California or look for an alternate way to accomplish the transfer. Somehow the uShip site appeared when searching the internet for shipping services. Of course it is now in my favorite sites!
As I read the contents of the site I was pleased with what I saw, registered and made the decision to list the contents to be shipped. In less than 24 hours I was got feedback and, shortly thereafter, a bid that was acceptable to my finances.
Not only was the bid within my range, it saved me time, effort and money had I udnertaken the task alone. Food, fuel, wear and tear on the vehicle and myself, time, and some unknowns were all considered in deciding on uShip to handle the transportation of the sentimental items left by my mother.
Most people fail to consider the sacrifices made by professinal drivers every time they get on the highway; the days away from home and family every month (in Mr. Cohen's case 67% of the month is spent on the road) and should be thanked when encountered on the road, at a truck stop or whenever you see them. Sometimes a honk and a wave will do.
Knowing the distances travelled and the sacrifices made by truck drivers I was more than accomodating when Mr. Cohen asked to make the delivery late in the evening. Bad weather began to develop and he wa later than expected. The pouring rain did not get in the way and together the items were unloaded and restored in my garage.
Mr. Cohen later called to see how things were. They were great and he made it safely back home.
I will defintely use uShip again if I need a similar service in the future. I will also recommend it to those seeking such services.
Thank you uShip and thank you Eli Cohen.
