First, I have a collection most would assume as very large. I prefer to transport my own vehicles, although recently I have had to use carriers.
I have shipped my Corvette four times in the last 2 years. From California to Virginia, then to Florida, then to Colorado, and now to Ohio.
And the last shipment by Mazzalupo carrier went smoothest of them all. It was my first uShip transport and it's probably been the best bargain of all the shipments.
They shipped as the described on a tight timetable. They shipped in the same enclosed trailer from start to finish. They were using the proper manufacturer hooks and the proper shipping points. They seemed more concerned about my Corvette than I was at time. They did all the worrying for me...
The expense was as low as what I would expect to pay for an open trailer shipment. Very friendly people and it was extremely easy to reach them on the phone. They responded to emails very quickly also.
I am thankful that I found "Maz" and uShip!
My previous corvette shipments with other carriers not through uShip:
Well-known company conveniently lost paperwork during transport.
Extensive damage to the paint and exhaust.
Added @75 miles to the odometer between pick-up and delivery.
The Claims department refused to accept the origin copy of paperwork and would not cover the damage, claiming it was preexisting.
Definitely did not live up to the "Dependable" in their name...
This carrier was the worse.
Did not ship enclosed on single trailer as indicated. Instead it was loaded and unload several times. It was transported in a open trailer under another vehicle leaking oil and other fluid. The Corvette was coated in oil, dirt, etc.
Paint severely damage.
Paperwork conveniently misplaced.
Driver refused to unload the Corvette unless I gave him $300. Claiming that he was instructed that he would be paid on delivery by the owner. Essentially extorting money from me.
