I found UShip in January and decided to give it a try. My horse needed to be moved from Missouri to Wisconsin. My first experience with a shipper was not satisfactory so I cancelled the bid and tried again. I received several bids and chose one from S & E Transport . I received a call from Liz and I gave her the necessary information. She was very friendly and helpful. Liz informed me that Sherry was out west and that it would be 7 to 10 days until she could pick up my horse. Liz gave me Sherry's cell number so I could call her directly, which I did. Sherry was very personable and we had a nice chat. Then I waited for the call to tell me that Shadow was on the way! I received a call from Sherry on Friday saying that she could not get hold of the person boarding my horse so she was going to get a room and spend the night. The next day I found out that her truck had broke down with a ruptured fuel line on the way to the motel. It's an '06 truck and none of the dealer's parts departments are open on the weekend! Monday I heard from Sherry early in the morning and then several more times as the repair was under way. By 1pm Shadow was loaded and on his way! She picked up another horse in Illinois and arrived here in East Troy at about 8am. This woman had been stranded for the weekend, driving all night, dealing with other clients disappointed about the delay and she had even managed to loose one of her boots somewhere along the way. Nevertheless, Sherry got out in the snow in her moccassins to unload my horse and remained as friendly as ever. These two gals get my vote anytime!
