I had been looking for a unique coffee table that would be grandkid friendly, meaning no sharp corners or glass. At the same time not too small to sit in a large living area. I came across the Crate and Barrel listing. There I saw this round, half circle table that I fell in love with. It met all the qualification I needed for the center of my room. The only thing was that the price of the table seemed to be a little steep for a single income budget. I was on the internet one day and just happened to look on E-bay, when one of the last pages that posted coffee tables, I found the very same table I had seen days before at more than half the price. The item said there would be free shipping. Come to find out that the free shipping was only within the West Palm Beach ,FL area. That did me no good since I live in Texas. I was desperate and contacted the seller by e-mail and phone. I asked him that if I found some way to have the table shipped would he be willing to work with me. I looked for ways through the Post Office, UPS, by bus and came up empty. I then again got on the computer and googled "shipping from Fl to TX". That's when I found the uship sight and posted the required information needed to place my bid. I got a few responses. I then got a bid from a Ed A, he asked me, what price I was willing to pay. He asked me if a delivery date of December 24 would be OK. He told me that the deliveries that he and his wife made were good income to supplement the vacation and gas monies spent. They were to get off a cruise ship in Fl on the 23rd and they would pick up the table then. I agreed. I contacted him by phone and gave him all the needed information for my shipment. He gave me a pick up and delivery date and estimated time of arrival. Ed and his wife kept me informed at all times. From the time they picked up the table to the time they were 10 minutes from my house. My table was delivered to me just in time for Christmas. Uship made it possible.
