We hired Robert from Heavenly Hands to move my mom's household belongings from California to Missouri. The first mover we hired had major issues with his truck and food poisoning that required us to find a new mover. Robert offered a wonderful price and moved my mom at the last minute. He called me in route to report he'd broken an axel, then several hundred miles later, he'd broken another. He was in a small town, and had to help the only mechanic (80 yrs old) repair his truck. Just when we thought all was well, Robert was rear ended on the Interstate! He called me from the back of an ambulance. He was released that day and had to stay in the town a couple hours from his destination to wait for insurance adjusters. Hurt, he reloaded Mom's household goods onto a rental truck to complete the move. Another obstacle jumped in front of him when the rental broke down! To prevent him from reloading again, the rental company towed the broken truck to Mom's new home at about 11pm. It left him there without transportation. Poor Robert slept in his truck!! He took a cab to the ER at 4am to get a new inhaler (his old one was still in the original truck), but made it back to unload Mom's stuff as promised by 6am!! He did a beautiful job. Some items were damaged, he repaired the furniture very well, and gave us a large discount to pay for what needed replacing. HE WORKED SO HARD!!! We were very pleased. Can you believe that he was hit by a drunk driver in Indiana leaving Mom's going to New York?? There is no way he has more bad luck ahead. It's got to be all great from here on. He is just too sweet to go thru all of this. He needs to write a book, be on the Today show, or be on Oprah!! Maybe he can win a free vacation!
