I had T3YBYransport truck a Land Rover 101 Forward Control (an unusual military vehicle) from Raleigh NC to Detroit MI. I had found it difficult to get anyone to bring it into Canada but they were fine with meeting me near the US Customs in Detroit. Picking up the truck meant them being able to match times with the seller who had lots of time committments and dropping off took a few phone calls to get us together at a good time and the right location. All the planning went downhill though as we crossed the bridge into the USA and had to wait for an hour while 5,000 runners held up traffic for a marathon! Sad to say the shipper had to wait, but at least we could let him know. My first drive of the new (to me)truck was off their trailer and on to mine, all "supervised" by a street person who had appeared from nowhere and offereed all kinds of advice, and a Detroit city cop who was taking a coffee break. I'm not sure I'd use the location again, perhaps use the US Customs parking lot instead.
Shipping cost was above the lowest bidder's price but this was a shipper who went to a lot of effort to make it a good experience and took good care of the vehicle.
