My sister, 300 miles away in Dallas, forwarded an email from a friend about a vintage Chambers stove for sale at a great price. On the spur of the moment we decided to buy it. Only later did we wonder about how to get it here.
We have a mini-van; my brother-in-law has a truck. He offered to help me bring it down, but when I started to figure out how much it would cost in gas, beer and meals, plus a trip by bus or car to meet him it got complicated and expensive fast. From selling on online, I knew the established commercial appliance dealers were out of my price range. Thank goodness U-Ship came up on Google.
I registered, listed my shipment and quickly received several bids. One was from Deliverease2866 (James).
He had just a few feedbacks but all were positive. I could see Deliverease2866 knew how to deal with situations fairly and patiently, which is probably necessary due to the high number of new u-ship users, like me for instance.
James made it clear that his bid was based on combining the stove with a couple of other shipments he had to make to San Antonio a few weeks later. We wrote back and forth several times to clear up the details. He responded quickly, much faster than I expected since he was on the road. It became clear that it would take two guys to load the stove, I asked him to revise his bid to include the cost of a helper.
My seller was anxious to get the stove out of his living room, James solved that problem by picking the stove up right away and storing it in his warehouse at no extra charge. The stove had lots of parts which James carefully wrapped. When he got the stove he saw one stove leg leveling bolt was bent. He replaced it with a new bolt!
James kept me informed as to the delivery date and time. He worked with my handyman to get the stove inside. He showed a real concern for my shipment. I am sold on U-Ship. I will be recommending it again and again.
