Since I was a child I have dreamed of owning a small farm and working it with an antique tractor. Those dreams are finally coming true. I just closed on a gorgeous piece of property in Galivant's Ferry, SC and then found an incredible deal on ebay for a totally restored 1948 Farmall A with the attachments I needed.
I don't have a trailer and my 4x4 Toyota bogger just isn't the right tool for hauling a loaded flatbed 250 miles across the state, even if I could have found one to rent. I almost passed up on this great deal until a friend told me about uShip.
After posting my listing I immediately got multiple questions and bids in a very reasonable price range. One shipper really stuck out, though.
Dee (goldbloom) specializes in hauling heavy equipment, and is a tractor enthusiast. He's fully licensed and insured, and his prices are extremely reasonable. I accepted his bid.
Dee worked with the seller to arrange pickup, and took the time to talk with the guy about the tractor before hitting the road. He kept in touch through the whole trip, and then unloaded the tractor when he got to my house.
Dee took the time to relay details the seller had told him about the tractor, to share his own knowledge about the Farmall A model, and to show me how to operate the tractor and its attachments.
I could not have asked for a better experience. My new tractor is beautiful, and the entire transaction was pleasant, friendly, and stress free. When Dee left I felt like I had made a new friend.
I have always loved ebay, but often passed up great deals on large items due to prohibitive shipping quotes. uShip has really opened up the possibilities on ebay for me. I will definitely be using this resource again, and reccomending it to my friends, family, and future ebay buyers!
