I found myself with a 1967 plymouth fury that was sitting 450 miles from my garage. I started looking at auto-shippers and the prices were more than i paid for the car! I don’t remember how, but i ended up here on uship and was very impressed with the concept. I've had enough bad experiences on other sites (read ebay) that i was skeptical things would work out. But, i was looking at 900 miles trailering a 4000 lb hunk of steel. At somewhere close to 10 mpg, 15 hours of driving, and one hotel room I was not a happy camper. So, i took a chance and posted my shipment. Within a few days bids started rolling in from a variety of different people/ companies at a variety of different rates. Using the feedback system to rate the shippers was indispensable. Jim's towing had stellar feedback, and a reasonable bid. However, he contacted me shortly after making the bid to say the shipment he was to pickup near me had been delayed. I decided there was no rush on the shipment and he decided to cut me a deal so he could have something to haul this way when his delayed shipment was ready. Uship and my experience with Jim's towing (jimstow) effectively shrinks the nation down so even the largest item can be reasonably delivered to my backdoor. Thank you both so very much.
