A lady contacted me about a therapy horse that she had, as I was looking for one. I am disabled (I have a genetic arthritic disease called ankylosing spondylitis, and ALL the conditions it can cause) and out of the blue, I got the email from this lady named Janelle. Her horse had been used in a theraputic riding stable before it shut down - she used to show him, but he got a stifle injury and was retired from the ring. She thought he'd be perfect for me.
I came on here to list him - I'd heard good things about UShip, and thought I'd try it. I live in TN, Rio (Two By Seven Leo is his registered name) was in NE. As much as I wanted him, I never thought we could afford to get him here, even though the horse was free for me.
I listed Rio, and got some bids - and then this wonderful company, also based out of TN named S&E Transport contacted me. We had a few discussions, and they worked with me on a price.
I haven't worked in 4 years, been fighting for my disability for that long. My family all pitched in and came up with the transport fee. I couldn't believe it - Rio was going to be mine!
They picked him up, and during the trip, the poor driver had to find shelter for him and the horses both - from not one, but TWO tornadoes on the way home. He said you could see them from the interstate, and both were on the ground (at different times).
Rio arrived in perfect condition at 3:30 this morning. Janelle was right - we are a perfect match! Rio is related to the first horse I ever owned, a foundation QH named Doc Force - and not only that, but Rio and I have the same birthday, May 5th! He's gorgeous, and perfect, he acts just like Doc did, I love him so much already, and keep pinching myself to see if I am dreaming! Thank you to Janelle Wagner!
I would also like to thank S&E Transport for what they did. Between Janelle, my family, and that company, my dream of 20 years of a QH came true.
Thank you, UShip - I'll be recommending you, and if needed, I'll certainly use you again!
