I recently decided to remodel my kitchen to it's original 1950's decor. Although I have the origninal steel cabinets for my kitchen (they are now in the garage since a remodel in 1976), I needed more to fill the current layout of the room. I purchased the cabinets from a family in Colorado - I live in Oregon. My predicament was then to get the cabinets to Oregon. I checked out several shipping and freight companies before I found uShip. I placed my add on uShip and immediately had several bids. I had a "max" amount that I would pay and was initially disappointed when the first few offers came in above that price. I finally received a bid under that target amount and when I began corresponding with that company I began receiving bids below my maximum amount - (some were the same companies that gave me high bids).
I decided to go with K & E Hauling LLC out of Denver, CO. Brian Edelman(one of the owners) was very polite and informative in his discussions with me. He explained the process, how they would pack my cabinets and the vehicle they would use for transport. At first I was a little hesitant to use them because they would be hauling my steel cabinets in the back of a pick-up, with no canopy. Brian assured me of the care they would take in shipping the cabinets and took the time to explain all the details to me. Larry Klingbeil(the other owner) arrived on a Thursday to pick up the cabinets. He spent approximatley two hours wrapping the cabinets and loading them into the truck (exactly the way Brian said it would be done). On that day, winds in Denver were expected to reach 80 mph. Larry took the extra time necessary to make sure my shipment would be safe. He experienced blinding snow storms in Wyoming and of course, rain in Oregon.
My cabinets arrived safe, dry and undamaged in Oregon on Saturday - just as Brian said they would. I will definately use uShip again as well as K & E Hauling LLC - Brian and Larry were AWESOME!
