I never knew a service like uShip existed. I found it while surfing the internet and I gave it a try. I had been trying to sell my travel trailer on consignment with a dealer in Indiana for eight months but I was not having too much luck. I advertised it in my home State of Washington, and I had three responses to my ad. So I had to figure out a way to get my RV here. Since I did not want to trust my RV to just anyone, I relied on the comments made by previous uShip customers as the basis for choosing a reliable transporter. Quite a few people bid on my shipment, but it was clearly evident that the lowest price is not always the best choice. (The transporter with the lowest price was intending to tow my 30 foot, 5,000 lb trailer with a 4 cylinder Jeep Liberty. Had I chose him, his car would have fried.) I chose John (jhndnfrth) as the best person for the job based on the comments made by previous clients. I asked lots of questions and I was convinced by his responses that he was the best choice for my transportation needs. The dealer where my trailer was consigned told me he picked it up on time. He communicated with me daily by email or cell phone of his progress. And he arrived when he said he was going to arrive.
The trailer was dirty from road grime, which is to be expected from a 2400 mile trip, but other than that, it was in acceptable condition. John and I talked for a while after the trailer was parked and unhitched, and I found him to be pleasant to talk to, nice looking clean cut young man with an unmistakable east coast accent. (I had envisioned a fat, burly truck driver that never misses a snack at a truck stop.) He drives a brand new Chevy diesel 4x4 dually truck, which is more than adequate to do the job. His profile indicates that he has traveled over a million safe and violation free miles which is quite an achievement. I will defintely recommend uShip and use nationwide transporter "jhndnfrth" again. Good job John!!! Richard H.
