Here is my first experience using uShip.
I was bidding on a 5th wheel camper and it was down to the last few seconds. I entered the amount and the next thing I knew I won the bid. I was so excited because I got the RV for a good price and I could not believe I won it.
After I calmed down I realized I had to go 1900 miles to pick it up which was no big deal because I have the truck to haul it and it would be a mini vacation. What I didn’t realize was, I how am I supposed to get off work?
Taking a weeks vacation without pay was really not an option so I started asking people if they knew anyone who could pick my camper up and bring back safely. Well no one answered so I started looking on line and called trucking outfits to see what it would cost to have it hauled to my home, but to my surprise, my cheap RV just got really expensive.
Then I came across uShip on the Internet so I thought what the heck do I have to lose. I put out my request and the bids started coming in at a much lower price then the trucking outfits. The best part of this was I could choose who I wanted to haul my camper and I could accept or decline the bid. I went with a hauler that was in my price range and I was able to look up his references before I accepted. If the price was right but the references weren’t so good, I could also decline the bid. As it turned out, the price was right and his references were great so I accepted the bid.
I was able to use PayPal which for me was another insurance policy my RV would arrive. uShip took out the deposit and the shipper got a slight deposit. When he arrived at the pickup point, I gave him another particle deposit. The hauler keep me well informed on his where a bouts throughout the whole trip. When he arrived with my RV, it was in great shape so I paid him the amount due plus a tip.
So my first, and defiantly not my last, experience with uShip was very positive.
