Booking through uShip, is bittersweet. You don't know if the broker will find a driver for your vehicle and you don't know if the broker actually has any trucks of their own. If the broker fails to ship your vehicle, you're out the money you spent on getting it listed including any additional fees to get a priority or urgent listing. One broker was a complete let down and I felt lied to the entire time, the next broker at least had a phone that didn't cut out every 3 seconds and they were able to ship my vehicle. Sometimes, I wish uShip would allow direct contact with a broker to find out if they can actually get something shipped in a timeframe but they don't allow direct contact. I would've rather contacted a broker, them find a driver and then I book with them, instead of being told that they can pick it up in x amount of days but they don't have to because it wasn't in the original bid and uShip (according to them) doesn't allow them to make another bid with a different time frame. It's hard to trust someone with your vehicle and handling your money and you never know if you are going to be taken advantage of. In my case, I feel like I got 50/50. I got let down by the first broker, and then the next picked me back up. uShip is a great idea, however, it seems there are too many brokers making deals they can't follow through on just to make a buck. We need more drivers - less brokers.
