My parents were hit hard by Hurricane Rita, had no insurance and generally got no help from FEMA or any agency even though they are elderly. Rita is the forgotton storm overshadowed by the news coverage of New Orleans. Anyway, we vowed not to be a victim ever again so I had been looking around for a storm shelter. I found one that fit our needs in California but shipping to Texas would be a challenge. Basically just a large metal box. I left the specifications on USHIP and Rhett answered the call. He communicated well and had to turn back to go to the shipping point. After a few calls, Rhett made the pick up (which was not easy) and headed East. His truck had several issues on the way but he fixed it quickly and got back on the road. Once it arrived here in East Texas, I found out that the boxy shape of the shelter made the fuel useage quite a bit more, however he kept to the bid price. I had to rent a rough terrain forklift to remove it from his truck but he stayed with us to make sure the shelter fit into place on the back of our property. All in all, a positive experience. We appreciate all you did.
