"Hauling "Old Iron" from Oklahoma to New York"
shipping from Clinton, Oklahoma Horseheads, New York for $1,321.16
I grew up on a dairy farm in upstate New York where my father bought and used only Allis Chalmers tractors. We never had the biggest or best tractors to farm with but we got by with what we had. In those days the holy grail of tractors was the awesome and powerful Allis Chalmers D21. It was a massive peice of iron that gobbled up the farmland as it tilled the soil. It was every farmboys dream of taming this beast for their own use. That was 40 years ago and since that time dad has passed on and I'm now retired at 58 with a yearning to relive my boyhood days on the family farm. My brothers and I still produce hay for the local horse community and the thoughts of owning and operating an Allis Chalmers D21 on the farm were never far away. There weren't very many D21's made and they have become a scarce collectors item. Ebay to the rescue as I spied a listing for a D21 from Oklahoma. I waited until the very end of the auction to pounce on this prized possesion as did many others, but I came out the winner. This is where UShip came to the rescue for my shipping needs. I easily became a member of UShip and transfered from ebay a picture and information about the D21. I then posted the shipment and immediately received quotes from several trucking outfits, but none of these companies impressed me with their bids. Then came a lone bid from an Independent Owner/Operator that was in my price range. Robby Clayton from RCTRANSPORT wanted my business. He was new to UShip and so was I, but he caught my attention because he had the right equipment to haul my prized possesion. I checked out his references and accepted his bid. Robby is an honest and likable guy from Oklahoma that appreciates hauling "Old Iron". He took the time and care to make sure my "Old Iron" would make a safe trip. He picked up my D21 in Oklahoma and delivered it to New York in a timely and courtious manner. He did a great job for me and I'm sure he would for you. Thank You UShip!!
