After 8 quotes that were all higher than I was prepared to spend and with wait times out 3-4 weeks, Tom Atter threw his bid in the pot with a great rate, a promise to pickup within 48 hours and delivery 2/3rds of the way across the country in another 4 days max.
The offer seemed only too good to be true. and yet it wasn't. Tom showed up at 10:00pm for the pickup in Syracuse, worked with the Seller to keep the logistics of the pickup, inspection of the vehicle, and payment issues all running smoothly, and then hit the road headed West while making additional pickups and deliveries.
Over the course of the next 4 days he was sure to keep me updated with emails or phone calls regarding his progress and we had a great time shooting the breeze about all sorts of topics along the way.
When he arrived, he spent a good hour going over the the bike with me making sure everything was acceptable before gearing up to head further West. This guy's got an incredibly diverse background in life experience and a laser focused work ethic that keeps him on the move delivering great service, anticipated freight, and some great stories to share. It's always a risk to put your faith (and money) in people you don't know to get a job done right. And it's always a surprise (and I might add, refreshing,) when you realize you got one of the best by being in the right place at the right time.
I wish Tom Atter and his business the best for however long he decides to continue to keep the wheels rolling! Good Luck Tom!
